This is a sequel to A Demon's Curse. 
Jade, your average american teen who happens to be Sota Higurashi's granddaughter, is haunted by nightmares. Her mother becomes worried when the birth mark shaped like a cresent moon on her back starts to glow, and her daughter start to lose sleep. She calls her father, Sota, in a panic and he tells her that she will die soon if she isn't brought to the well. Now her mother is forced to face that Sota was right when he said Jade was a rencarnated priestess. 
When Katana, Nayumi's sword, starts acting up Sesshomaru follows it to the well. The sword shows him an image of a girl that looks like Nayumi. Is it really her? Can he trust this rencarnation? Why does her birth mark match the mark on his face? There are no answeres to these questions, but it's clear that the two share a connection. Can Jade survive being thrust into Feudal Japan?
