Elizabeth Henderson or also known as Ellie has always been known as miss perfect or miss popular, with her grades, friends, and social status. So it's no surprise that her and Steve "the hair" Harrington are best friends.

Steve has always protected Ellie as if she was his own family, but for him she's the only person that fully understands and even though she may not agree with his actions she's always there to help him through it or to even yell at him whenever he's acting like a prick.
