200 years later.

Everyone is gone. Except for the Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow the Hedgehog, with his inability to age to perish.

Living his life with loneliness, Shadow feels as if though he had lost everyone he knew, because he had. So, he puts himself in a state of slumber.

Until one fateful day when a certain blue blur is transported to this future and wakes him. As soon as Shadow sees him, he knows he has to protect him.
