"The world ended with a bright white flash. Everything fell silent, no engines, no singing birds and no muttering. Then, the screams erupted."
It has been years since the earth burned to ashes and humanity fled into the last place inhabitable: The Subway systems. America is gone, wiped off the face of earth in a series of nuclear explosions sent by the Russian government. And in midst this catastrophe, a single girl is trusted with a task, a task that could safe all human life in the metro.

(This is of course greatly inspired from Dimitry Gluhovsky's Metro series, though it has a similar story arch at first, it's going to change up a lot so if you think you know what's gonna happen, don't be so sure...)

"It's human nature. It's instinct to survive, no matter the cost." The world has fallen into desolation. The apocalypse has already started and finished, leaving some of the surviving ones with strange powers and mysterious scars. The world has ended, according to some, and is now in a state of rebirth. Others say it hasn't ended yet and that it's only going to get worse. The remaining people have grouped together in packs and gangs, raiding the desolate cities and avoiding the ones called the Destroyers, who capture and torture the remaining survivors. No one is safe. One fifteen year old boy knows this better than anyone. He and his older sister lived together, sticking to the dark alleys of their abandoned city, and survived for years after the apocalypse, until the Destroyers came and took her away, reigning terror on the few who remained in the city. The boy, desperate to find someone to help him save his sister, leaves the city and finds one of the youngest cooperative packs in North America, called the Raiders, comprised of unwanted individuals with the strange powers left from the destruction of years past. Their leader, a destructive insomniac, promises to help him in return for the skills and usefulness this young boy seems to possess, but something disrupting sends waves of unease through the Raiders, something about a forgotten past and talk of a mutiny. "Maybe there's more to life than just surviving." ... Rated C for Caution. Though it's rated mature, there is no bad language or vivid descriptions of sexual contact. It does have very strong themes. Please read the two important notices in the intro. Read at your own risk. Thanks. Heart Of The Apocalypse by viLYNNous
3 parts Ongoing Mature
The world we once new was gone, now a world full of fear and death has taken its place. The end of the world, some would call it, others, took this as a chance to begin again. What was more dangerous? The end of the world, or a completely new one? Sometimes, it is not death you have to fear...but the living. Verena was now trapped in a world where every day is now a harsh fight for survival, but even the smallest remnants of life cling to the past, clutching at it in desperation. The echoes of humanity are found in the most unexpected places, reminding us that hope is a fragile, yet resilient force. In the heart of the apocalypse, Dr Verena Vesper was a fierce and guarded survivor with a strong will and mind along with an unwavering sense of duty to protect those in need. However, her intimidating aura and lack of expression along with her hot temper causes her many complications and misunderstandings. Despite this, she finds an unexpected soulmate in Maggie Greene, her unyielding spirit, devoted loyalty and genuine sincerity a stark opposite to her, yet her other half. Amidst the chaos and danger, their bond grows stronger through all the hardships and with every obstacle they overcome, they grow closer, becoming eachothers flame in the darkness. Verena's rugged exterior softens around Maggie's resilience, while Maggie's strength is fortified by Verena's fierce resolve. Together, they navigate the harsh world with a bond that is both a sanctuary and a powerful force, proving that even in the end times, love can burn brightly and fiercely, and that hope, is the most resilient force of all. The world hasn't ended just yet, not while Verena is still breathing. A/N: Obviously I don't own TWD or any of its characters or plot, I only own my own ideas and writing. I am also working on this story with a partner who came up with the story and character! Updates: As often as possible. (And yes, this is GxG/wlw.) <3

| Book One of the 'Forever' trilogy | ~•~ "I'm like a grenade, Carl. I'll explode one day and I'll take everything and everyone down with me. I cause trouble, hell, I am trouble, and I don't want you to fall because of my temper or my stupid need to put myself as risk to save everyone else." ~•~ A broken world brought them together. Two kids with much to learn, much to see and much to experience. They grew together, and in turn, shaped eachother. It began as an average story, a small piece of what turned out to be an extraordinary life. It was never going to be a happy story, it was going to have ups and even harder falls. They grew together, they became different people and left behind their childhood. She had a shattered soul, and him, a hardened heart. She was going to become what she was destined to be; A Leader. He was going to stand by her side and fight for what he loved; A Warrior. There was much to face before they saw that future. Many scars, tears and losses to endure before they saw that light. So their story began like most others; A girl met a boy. ~•~ Completed : 16th August 2015 Sequel : Forever Unfinished ~•~ *Warning* ~ Contains violence~ All the characters are of the Walking Dead cast and a few of my own. All their rights and settings used go to the Walking Dead team. I do not follow the storyline but some settings and character plots may be used.
