Harlequin's Hour, originally The Harlequin Project, is a concept that tells stories through conversation. Dr. Seraphim, a psychiatrist decides to see his patient Harlequin on an odd rainy day. The session is timed for one hour, but time seems a bit amiss. Harlequin has abandoned all sense of urgency. He wants to show his doctor something, something that he harbours deep within. The answer to Harlequin's questions lies in a world that does not exist within ours. The question is, can Dr. Seraphim keep track of time, or anything at all? After all, he's the doctor.

The atmosphere and characters in this story have some notable inspirations. The setting and the atmosphere of the room is inspired by the depiction of Julius Reichwein's study from Naoki Urasawa's Monster. The naming of the characters is inspired from Anthony Trollope's The Warden as the names directly signify the role that the two men play in the story. The numerous chapters are inspired by the books and poems that I have read and some are purely imaginative. The first chapter titled "Grimm Beginning" refers to the Grimm Brothers.
