Frank Iero was nothing special. He stuck out among his classmates, but that was only because he dressed like he was in a local 2007 rock band. He never brought any attention to himself, although he wasn't really that lonely; he had a couple of friends and a girlfriend. His family life wasn't anything interesting, either. All in all, he was an average guy.
Gerard Way was a lonely, sexually confused emo who relied on his younger brother, Mikey Way, a little too much. People would usually disregard him straight away because, well, he didn't give them a reason not to. He would never cooperate during conversations, that's if he actually managed to have one without completely ignoring everyone around him.
When Mikey realised just how depressing his brother's social life was, he did everything in his power to find someone to tolerate Gerard. Who would be better than his own best friend, Frank Iero?

Gerard is new to the school.. he finally got kicked out of his old one, now being forced to go to school with Mikey, not that's it's a bad thing. unlike what people would thing, Gerard and Mikey get along great..it's just other people that bugs Gerard. he sticks out like a sore thumb, hes soft spoken and has pretty feminine features as well as dressing up in pastel clothes (skirts). he gets into fights a lot and he's not afraid to stick up for himself but it gets tiring so he normally lets his bully's do whatever they need. at his new school he meets Frank. he's known to not let people push him the wrong way and he'll call you out on your bullshit. Frank finds Gerard...uh, interesting. it's hard to tell what Gerard is thinking most times and that really bugs Frank. Gerard tends to be in his own and Frank wants to change that...but how can he?
