2020 - Genetic engineering enables humans to do what was once perceived as impossible. Volunteers are then asked for to be test subjects. Thousands responds. Thousands moved to unknown locations across the world to begin tests. Tests proven successful, test subjects released back home. World population 12 billion
2021 - A new virus is discovered. Throughout the world, millions die daily. The world government remains silent. anarchy soon ensues. World population 2 billion
2025 - Once thought dead, the victims of the virus begin to mutate into what can only be described as "Inhumane, Unnatural". These beings possessed superhuman strength, speed and durability. Though intelligence is thought to be nil. Their food source, the blood of mammals. World population 1 billion
2026 - Humanity struggles to fight off the endless horde of savage beasts. World population 100 million
2029 - An organization is formed. The ones with power gather. Their time has come. Their name, Breakthroughs.

Survival in space was our only option. The dying earth and its sickly inhabitants forced us to flee to the stars. My father, the commander of the elite group chosen to live amongst the stars, brought me along for the journey. Everyone was evacuated from the home planet over 150 years ago. Our planet was dying, it was only a matter of time before our race was wiped out. We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth.
