K-pop. From Psy to BTS, we've all had our fair share of exposure to the flashy dancing and surprisingly catchy tunes. But not everyone loves it.
Eighteen-year-old Jeanie Lee has had to deal with her best friend's K-pop obsession for years. Growing up in a Korean household in downtown L.A., Jeanie was the translator for Kiara Jones, Jeanie's K-pop "stan" friend, but that was the extent that she was involved with the obsession. In all honesty, she couldn't care less.
One day, Kiara told Jeanie that she was going to take her to her favorite group's concert. Jeanie couldn't win the argument and ended up sitting in the concert venue and sulking.
Little did she know that the unlikely was soon to happen...
