Between the Two of Us

Rae Nazari's world shattered the day her best friend Kiersten Marks died. The image of her falling off the balcony of their apartment broke something within her. The police had ruled it a suicide, but Rae knew better.

Unable to accept her best friend's death as a mere suicide, Rae sets out to bring down the people responsible. Gone was the naive girl and in its place stood a woman who wanted revenge against the people responsible for her best friend's death, even if it meant becoming reckless in her pursuit. She was going to hunt them down, even if she had to burn the campus to the ground to do it.

However, soon Rae discovers that her blood-thirsty quest for revenge isn't as easy as it appears as the people responsible continues to remain elusive. Her mission leads her to encounter none other than Tristen Emerson.

Tristen Emerson is University of Michigan's all-star football linebacker. Set to be one of the highest ranking NFL draft picks, he had recruiters lining up to scout him. Rae has no time to deal with a football player, puffed up on his own arrogance, until Tristen decides to set his sights on Rae. Surprised by the unusual woman with her single-minded determination to bring down the one guy responsible for destroying the life of her best friend, Tristen soon becomes fascinated with the headstrong girl.

However, as Rae continues to pursue the killer, she soon realizes the risk that she places of those around her. Her world shatters once more as new secrets come abound, especially as she goes head to head with Tristen Emerson and his pursuit of her.

Will Rae succumb to her own darkness and lose herself in the process as she tracks down those responsible? Will Rae be able to open up to Tristen as the two grow closer?
