Tara is bored. Bored with every aspect of her routinely boring life. Same thing everyday: wake up, eat breakfast, draw, Internet, more boring activities until it was time to go back to bed. This was her routine for the summer, the only exception being Sundays when she was required to go to church. Her father being the pastor, she was there routinely every week at least once a week.

The boring routine and boring lifestyle seemed infinite to her until one fateful day, one fateful Sunday. God had a plan for her, a plan involving the fate of the world, a fate involving a dragon.

The Hybrids had planned the encounter with the egg for thousands of years, they had planned their revenge on the world for mistreating them. They had cast the curse.

If Tara can't unite all the Hybrids in time, avoid her government while her dragon develops, and become a leader all before the burning red spore touch Earth's soil, she will have failed her ancestors. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Original Cover Art: "Dragon's Time" by Anne McCaffrey, art by Les Edwards. In a small village, half hidden along a mountainside, Kieren was slinking between shadows. Footsteps sure even with so little moonlight. The softest brush of bare skin against knobbled and far-reaching trees. Not even a whisper of sound from stepping on the coarse dirt beneath his feet. In this world, Drakes were the epitome of power amongst the species. Only making up 10% of the population, humans making up the other 90%. Drakes could be found in the highest positions of power in communities or in positions to protect others (such as guards, watchmen, knights, patrolman). No one questioned this, dragons taking care of their own. A private species with traditions and rules that only dragons were privy to. Making sure none over-reached so that there would always be peace and harmony amongst the dragon territories and between humans. A symbiosis that all worked hard to maintain. Humans were born with vibrant and colorful hair throughout the world. The more rare the color, the more blessings, respect, luck and riches came to them. Fiery red, leafy green, aqua blue. Eyes that matched their brightest feature. Dressing in the same colors or even brighter shades to demonstrate their extravagance, their standing in society. They normally worked side by side with the higher ranking dragons, helping to keep harmony. All Kieren knew was that he would have to remain cloaked, face obscured at all times. The villagers said he was a defect, so they made him their servant. His skin too pale. Form too slight. Eyes not right. An ugly thing where he should be thankful they did not kill him right away. To be grateful for their pity and staying their hand. The worst, they would tell him, was about the coloring of his features; his hair and eyes. It was a color that had never been seen before amongst humans or dragons. *Please read tags! Don't like, don't read, don't leave unhelpful nasty comments.

The world had long since forgotten the age of dragons, those creatures that had once ruled the skies as gods had long since disappeared after the conclusion of the Great Demon Wars. Dragons became nothing more than a fading legend, a story to tell children at bedtime. But the gods could not let the dragons die, for they were the last defense against the demon armies and the dark god Vekkar. Talia had been born and raised in a world of darkness acting as an agent of Hephatus, goddess of assassins and death. She knew only a life of killing, sometimes for justice, sometimes for honor, always for money. Her morals were opaque at best. But when she's deployed to the city of Arboros she finds herself thrust into a world of political games, opposing powers, and constant threat. Nowhere was safe even for her. Her goals became muddied, and then lost altogether when she meets the Dwarven Prince. Bromyr had spent the last five years of his life chasing ghosts, desperate to find the lost dragon eggs. His people thought him crazy, his father stripped him of his titles, but he never gave up. Eventually his effort bore fruit and he hastily made way to return to his homeland only to get caught up in the city of Arboros. It was there that he met an intriguing half-giant, a woman who ignited a fire everywhere she went. In the end she was the one who inadvertently brought about the new age of dragons. What could go wrong when an ill tempered assassin becomes the first dragon rider of a new age? ***Cover made by annie1loves1you***

{Iara's Lifetime Book 1} Siblings scattered across continents....things hidden in the world and in the mind, things better left that way. When the first rider in two decades appears, lost, hungry, and alone except for her dragon, it is only the beginning in a tale of curses, death, betrayal, love, and flowers from the sky. Iara is young, inexperienced and hopeful. Welcome to her first set of adventures. Truthfully, you'll be begging for more. Read on my friends! This is a fanfic of the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, so I don't exactly own Eragon, Saphira, Murtagh, Thorn, Alagaesia, and all the other familiar faces. Iara and her family is of my own creation. By the way, this is an Eragon fan-fiction and takes place twenty years after the events in the Inheritance Cycle. Enjoy!
