Aileen is a twenty year old young adult, living the life with two of her bestest friends Brea and Calla off the coast of Australia in an archipelago on a small island called Clorinda. Together, they set off on a path through college.
Calla is quick to makes friends, but Aileen is a little apprehensive about her choice of new friends. Her friends invite everyone to a board walk party. Aileen is introduced to these new friends, and ends up on the wrong foot with the leader of this group of friends, Elodie. Elodie and Aileen end up in an argument that eventually grew physically aggressive. During the brawl, Elodie accidentally sends Aileen tumbling over the board walk railings and onto the jagged rocks below. Unaware of Aileens sudden disappearance, Aileen was left to the dark abyss of the ocean.
Groggy and In a daze, Aileen is saved by a beautiful creature from a dream.
Quickly, Aileen realizes it wasn't just a dream, and desperately seeks for help as she realizes, she's changing. Changing in ways that don't seem humanly possible. Changing into something from her dreams that night.

Mermaids are real, and unlike humans they have powers. Every mermaid is matched with an element when they are born, its not there choice but the worlds in a way, you see the mermaids tail color tells them their element and powers some are more powerful with it and other's not so much to useless. Green tails mean their element is Nature and earth, orange and yellow is light, purple is shadows, pink is wind and then there is blue for water and red for fire. But, when a princess is born with a tail holding 5 out of 6 of the elemental colors and starts getting hunted at the age of one. There was only one thing the king could do to keep his precious babygirl safe and that's what he had done. Amelia Light was adopted at the age of one. Knowing the truth she feel's that these people are her real family even if they aren't by blood. Living a normal life with a loving family and an annoying older brother, Amelia never expected her life to change in the way it did.
