"Come on Des, this one time I'm begging you," Tracy pleaded with me.
"No," I replied sternly. There was no way in hell I'd do the thing.
"Pretty please??? It's not even hard! You just pretend to be me and go to the date and if the guy's good then you can tell me and if not then you can do your tough girl thing and tell him to get lost," she continued to try to convince me.
I continued to refuse but soon enough I gave in because this is my best friend from childhood. Not to mention we look exactly the same so her request would actually be easy as pie.
"Yes!! You're the best Des! Oo that rhymed," She shouted as she did a victory dance.

By pretending to be my friend on a blind date, I got to meet the most gorgeous man in the world. He was absolute perfection in every way possible so naturally, I had to tell Tracy because that was the plan. I'd assess the guy for her. After the date, I would move on and she'd do what she wanted with the guy.
But things didn't go quite as planned.
Something magical happened on that blind date. I found myself falling for him and that's a big problem because Tracy also likes him.
