Set in 2068, Spinoff compiles the journal entries of four teenagers that make up a Hurricane Hunter unit, the first line of defense in a severe weather-saturated future. Aided by journal entries from Lanie's grandmother in 2017, the group manages to survive one hurricane after the other, all while saving everyone they can. The grandmother's journal entries are actually from a survivor of 2017's Hurricane Harvey-- and they're very real.
