Immediately following Episode VIII, this is my idea of what might happen between Kylo and Rey. What if his own troops rise against Ben, and begin to attack the Resistance without his orders? What if Rey and Ben find themselves fighting the same enemy? The Force bond kept the other far away, but what will happen when they are forced together?Complete

"When I offer you my hand again, you'll take it." What if Kylo Ren had been right? What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version.
