Black Dog: First

Sassaba Benouf, a woman left on a London doorstep as a baby and grew up at a military base arrives in New York on the brink of the Second World War. She expected the conflict and hoped that the US forces would be happy to use her skills. What she didn't expect was James Buchanan Barnes, notorious womaniser, to enter her life. However, the more she becomes involved with him and his friend Steve Rogers as the war progresses, the more she bears witness to the dark underbelly of the war, the organisations lurking in the deep and how she may be more involved with them than she ever thought possible.
