The Kingdom of Desral

*Book 1 in 'The Desral' Series*

18-year-old Milo Grayson is just where he wants to be.
No, he's not following his dreams or anything.
He is physically where he wants to be, by a secluded part of the lake in Holgate, Michigan.
It is surrounded by trees and there is not a person insight
Well, there is his dog Chara who is happily waiting for Milo to throw his tennis ball into the lake.
It's perfect. Not a cloud in sight
For that moment at least.
A cloud Milo has never seen before appears, it's like a thundercloud but streaks of blue run through it like lightning.
Then another appears.
Then another.
The whole sky is now grey and the sun is now hidden behind the clouds
He is frozen in shock and a bit of fear as he stands in awe at this strange anomaly.
"What the heck?" He whispers to himself.
Chara hides behind Milo's legs and whimpers
A big flash of lightning comes down probably 10 feet away from him making an indent on the beach
His state of shock disappears and the impact sends him flying back
He closes his eyes tightly
'I'm dead, I'm dead' he thinks to himself
He opens his eyes expecting a bright light and his Dad coming to greet him at the gates of Heaven. Or Hell. He doesn't really know at this point.
But it's a different kind of light. It's from the sun
Once again, there is not a cloud in sight
Frightened, he looks over at the indent in the sand to make sure he wasn't Hallucinating
But now, instead of the indent in the sand is a Girl. Looking frightened and confused as to where she is.
"W-who are you?" Milo manages to stutter out
The girl whips her head at him, now realizing he is there.
"I am Princess Renée of the Desral kingdom" she narrows her brown eyes as if she expects him to know this "Now who are you and which Kingdom am I in?"

This series is inspired by many Disney movies so don't go off on me going 'you copied this from {Enter movie title!}' Thanks for the reminder but I am aware that it is similar to {Enter movie title}
