For 17 year old Brealyn Pelts, life was floating past in a happy whirlwind of colors. Her teen years are proving to be a blast and she is more than excited for what awaits in her next and last year of childhood!That is until she winds up on a camping trip with her parents, across the boarder and into Virginia.

Visiting every historical place they can while Bree plugs herself into her iPod, they have a accident, crashing their car and camper off the side of a large hill top down below into the rocks and grass. Her parents are killed on impact and Bree is left with a death wish.

She's rushed ot the nearest hospital in Mystic falls, 20 miles from where she crashed after being found with no id and no idea what has happened. Waking up after a week of coma she's confused and wishes she could have saved her parents. From there she knew what would happen next, foster homes until they could reach her distant relatives in Finland. In the meantime she was to go to high school. Her senior year never looked so bland and lifeless.
