I don't fear darkness, I fear what lies in it. Monsters. Loneliness. Emptiness perhaps? The darkness caused by the absence of light to the darkness in my mind that reaches the farthest depths of my soul. Not just mine, there are darker places where people are curious to go thinking they're strong enough to pull back from it. Not knowing that once they're too far in, there is no escape from it.
