Well, they do.

Daemon is one such being. Born half demon half human, he has struggled all his life. Both with his identity and with the other mythical beings who are out for his blood. Being a half breed, he would have been shunned by both sides. Thing is, most humans in this world are still unaware that there are other beings out there. They don't know about the supernatural plane or the dangers that lurk beyond their sight. Daemon has seen them since he was young and has taken it upon himself to protect those who can't protect themselves.
