Esmeralda Avery looked up at the gloomy Parisian sky above her. The grey clouds swirled in endless circles, releasing rain that slowly pattered onto her cheeks.

It had been twelve long years since she had set foot in England.
Twelve long years since Lord Voldemort had died.

She had felt an unimaginable weight lifted from her shoulders - the young woman had finally found true peace.

"You're home?"

The brunette turned to see none-other than the raven-haired Regulus Black stood on the stone step leading up to their quaint, cream home. "It's been a while." A small smile emerged on his face and he adjusted the newspaper he had tucked under his arm.

"I'm not saying I missed you." Esme laughed lightly, "But I did note your absence, and I wasn't happy about it."

"Missed you too." He wrapped his arms around her tightly.

Little did the reunited couple know, but a newspaper was soon to arrive on their doorstep, which would torpedo them back into the wizarding war they had so desperately tried to escape over a decade ago. Their worst fears had come true - the years of suffering they went through to escape the Dark Lord were all in vain, as he had returned.
Except now there was a teenage boy that could be their key to ending Lord Voldemort once and for all.

Esme and Regulus weren't done saving lives yet.

Regulus chuckled at her words "Who hurt you?" He asked lighting his own cigarette. "It doesn't matter," she said with a small smile "The world is filled with assholes, who cares anymore." "And I guess I'm one of those assholes," Regulus mused blowing smoke out from his mouth. Astrid turned towards him "The world is filled with assholes, but your not one of them Reg." "We're going to need all the help we can get." Remus stood tall at the head of the dusty table stationed in the dimly-lit room of 12 Grimmauld Place. His fingers tightly latched onto the back of the chair he was standing behind. "And where do you expect we get the help?" Adelaide Corden was perched beside Sirius, her blonde hair tied in a tight bun at the nap of her neck. Her blue eyes scanned the rest of the room. It was quite bare - at least for right now. The only people here, at the moment, were Adelaide, Remus, Sirius, Tonks, and Arthur Weasley. "We can ask my son. He may have connections." Arthur spoke up with a smile. "Bill?" Adelaide raised an eyebrow, glancing over to the older red head. "Charlie, actually." It was in that moment that Adelaide's eyes glazed over. Her brain went haywire. She had not been in the same room as Charlie Weasley in over four years. She would rather be consumed by an explosion of wildfire than see him again. ~ In which Charlie Weasley leaves his friends and family without a word to study dragons in Romania. The Dark Lord has returned and The Order of the Phoenix is going to need all the help they can get. Adelaide Corden happens to think otherwise - if she didn't need Charlie Weasley, neither did The Order. ---------------------------------------- •Wattpad Potterverse featured!• Started: 6/2021 Ended: 1/2022
