21-year-old Evie MacMillan is stuck. First, she lost her parents when she was sixteen in two different tragedies. Then she was stuck in foster for another two years, shifting from broken family to broken family. After working as a waitress for several years, disaster struck; on one rainy evening, Evie gets viciously assaulted, resulting in permanent eye damage, thus resulting in losing her job.

Now Evie is trapped. What little eyesight she has left is rapidly deteriorating, and she had just gotten a notice saying she will be evicted in just under two weeks. Completely out of options, Evie had decided that enough was enough...

...until she had a "Strange" encounter, one seemingly dark day.
