You are the Hylian champion, chosen to be so a century ago. Waking up in the Shrine of Resurrection is a shock, but having no memories to go along with that isn't helping. You listen to the stories you're told, though. You need to save Hyrule and the Princess. Those you meet along the way will be of great help to you. And some of these friends you make will do more than just guide you along your journey... much more.
TL;DR: There is no Link lol. You a r e Link. But, y'know, a girl.
(This story is from my Ao3 but Imma yeet it over here so my account has some content. Just the typical reader insert lmao)

A Breath of You (Link X Reader)
Dear Journal, Impa told me that writing this after Link passed would help me heal. Heal in what way? I don't want to heal, I don't even want to live. Link was my everything. I haven't seen him in weeks and suddenly he's dead? I should've been a good wife. I should have stayed by his side and fought. I wish it were me. I wish I died instead. He's the hero, he should be alive. I miss him so much. (Y/n) has remained alive for 100 years. One hundred painstaking years. Each year that ticks by, she has no idea why she lives. That is until strange towers rose from the ground and ancient shrines lit up across Hyrule. When (Y/n) returns to Impa to ask, she finds the answer. Her fiancé. Her dead fiancé had come back to life with no memories at all. A Breath of You (Link x Reader) Breath of the Wild! #1 for the tag Breath of the Wild #1 FOR LINK X READER BABY LETS GO! ׂ╰┈➤𝐅!𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐱𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤* The Hyrulean Royal family found themselves in quite the predicament on the day the Queen of Hyrule gave birth to twins--two healthy, beautiful baby girls. They named the first daughter Zelda, hoping the Goddess Hylia would answer their prayers and keep the tradition of her unlocked the sacred power to seal Calamity Ganon. The second daughter, (Y/n), was hidden from the public eye at the request of the King. Zelda spent almost her whole life with government studies and prayer being stuffed into her face, her personal passions being frowned upon. (Y/n), on the other hand, had no duties to fulfill and instead studied alongside her sister, became a knight, and made a certain special friend. Despite having a place among those she's closest to, she still feels confused, as if something in her life quite hasn't clicked into place yet... ...that is, until her entire world crumbles whenever she realizes that her true purpose is that of which her sister had been promised her entire life. No Woman Beyond
"There isn't a woman in Hyrule or beyond that could satiate me like you." Alright ladies and gents, It's wedding season in Castle Town and on this season of the bachelor is non-other than the Hero of Time! Link has defeated Ganondorf and Hyrule has once again recaptured its' reign of peace and prosperity. Or has it? Mayhem has returned to the land of Hyrule as news sweeps the nation that the Hero of Time must be wed! The royal family will hold a competition/ball, and all are welcome to enter. However, our hero Link has only eyes for one girl... and that's you dear reader! (For the sake of the story we are going to pretend Zelda does not send Link back to the child timeline.) This is a Link x Reader romance and my first time writing something of this genre. There will be a PG-13 ending AND an NC-17 one. I'm giving a whirl at some smut writing (you can thank the lack of romance in my life for that.) I will add a warning disclaimer for the romantic and friendly ending for those that do not like strong, sexual content. A/N: I DO NOT OWN ZELDA! I kinda wish I did though because I'd be stanky richhhhh. All of Zelda belongs to the royal family of Nintendo and King Shigeru Miyamoto. Art for cover done by the fabulous wren stout! Whose art I use quite a bit. Wrenstout.comComplete
Fortune Favors the Courageous
"Princess!" he yelled after her. "Where are you going?" "Back to the castle," she replied without stopping. "Not by yourself you're not!" "I'm sorry,"-she whipped around-"I didn't realize you were my father?" "Your father, the king, would execute me for letting you travel by yourself." "Oh, so this is about self-preservation?" "Yes. Yours. There are monsters all over Hyrule now, Your Highness." Blue eyes pointedly looked her up and down. "And by the looks of it, you're not equipped to handle that." She mirrored his scrutiny and scoffed. "What, and you are?" She gestured to the cairns beyond the trees. "Are you going to protect me as well as you protected them?" Calamity is upon Hyrule. The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe. Devotion, heartbreak, inadequacy. Faith, perseverance, and courage. This is a story of finding what lies within. [This story is set in a fusion of Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, with a couple tweaks and some familiar faces'n'places from older games joining along the way!] Thank you for the #1 spot in the Zelda tag! 💗 And thank you for #1 in PrincessZelda, LinkxZelda, Zelink, Midna and BreathoftheWild tags!! Made For You | BOTW Link x Reader
"You will aid the hero during his journey in defeating Calamity Ganon." That was the order that was given to you by goddess Hylia. Although the goddess had first planned to have the hero do his journey alone, she took sympathy for him and decided to create him a partner, one that would aid him during the dangerous travels to the Divine Beasts and finally, Calamity Ganon. That was your purpose. 100 years passed since the defeat of the Champions, although one remained. The one you were to help once he awoke from his slumber. Link. // This is a story entirely based on the game BOTW. Although a few changes will be made the overall story line will be game-based. That doesn't mean there won't be cliffhangers and all that juicy stuff. Yes, romance will play a part, but I just overall hope you guys enjoy the story! The Silent Princess - A Breath Of The Wild Fanfiction
Time has passed. Hyrule is getting rebuilt. Zelda on the other hand is not quite sure what to do. She is no longer a princess, She's a queen with responsibilities. A dark force is looming. Old friends are getting rediscovered but that boy. That man. Link. There's an unfinished story with him. This is my take on the universe. There will be new characters that aren't canon. There will be a few POV swaps but let's see if I can make this a cohesive story.Complete
