Sanem is a new detective trying to prove herself to her captain and department. Can is a world traveler and photographer who tries to help his best friend Metin, a lawyer who is working on exposing a major illegal arms deal involving some of Istanbul's highest officials. While trying to expose one of the biggest political scandal in Turkey, Can is framed for homicide. Sanem is given the case to gather evidence for an apparently guilty suspect. Once Can and Sanem's worlds collide, nothing will ever be the same again. 


This is an AU story of Erkenci Kus.The characters are not exactly the same as the show but certain aspects of their personalities are kept. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I am enjoying writing this story.

This is an AU story inspired in the original dizi of Erkenci Kus. I had some ideas to many open points that where left without a reply. I missed a different approach to some of the characters like Yiyit or Huma or even Ayhan and why not Derem and Cey Cey. In my thoughts they deserved another end at no way these characters had a fair exit in the story. However to make things more interesting and amusing I have just come to the idea that Mr. Wrong should be around and we shall see what happens with all of them. So some characters and things and could be slightly different from orginal serie. I beguin after Can leaves with Polen to the Balkans and Sanem remains in agency and is working at her book already with Yiyit. Another note, the famliy Divit has 2 sons Can and Emre and a daughter called Lale. This is my first story and Im not experienced in writting. I haven't got the rights of the characters from the original story.

14 year old Sanem, just received a scholarship for being top of her class, to one of the most prestigious schools in Instanbul. It won't be easy for an average girl from the Mahalle to be in a school like this. Most kids in this school are from upper class families with money. It will a challenge, but she's more than ready. Can is an 18 year old senior at this school, very popular. Smart and athletic. And very rich , his father owns one of the best advertising agencies in Instanbul. Sanem and Can meet, let's see what destiny has in store for them.

Sanem lost her parents and older sister in a car accident when she was only eight. Mirhiban, the wife of Aziz Divit, the owner of the hotel where Sanem's father had been the manager until the moment he passed away, was a very loving and endearing woman; her heart almost broke when she found out about the little girl left behind and quickly organized for her to stay with her and her family. Her own sons, Can and Emre, were already teenagers; Can was a sweet sixteener and Emre...a grouchy fourteener, so a little girl to take care of was just what she needed. From the moment Can met this...tiny but so beautiful little girl with her big, dark deer eyes, he felt a very special bond between them. Mirhiban felt it too and happily noticed that Sanem trusted her eldest son ever since. Can spent all the time he could with 'his little babygirl' and helped her get through the loss of her own family. But both of them would grow up into adults, and...what about that 'special bond' between the sweet sixteener and that so tiny and beautiful little girl when that happens..? This is a different type of Erkenci Kus story. The characters are familiar, but their interaction has changed from the series, and quirky funny things happen. I have read one story where Sanem had special powers and she will have different ones in this version. There is a difference from the other version. I hope this will be a fun filled story. I apologize if any details are similar to any other story. I try hard to write from my imagination only, except of course ideas from the series. I have no affiliation to Erkenci Kus, the cast, or anyone else involved with the series. I am just a fan, only. Please overlook, any mistakes, long drawn out sentences, or misspellings. Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!
