Alexandria, preferred name Alex, seems to have a perfect life, from what everyone around her can see. She has a beautiful mom, a really smart dad, and an adorable little brother. Even though her parents are divorced, her life seems awesome. She isn't beautiful - quite the opposite, being considered fat and ugly - but she is smart, and the other kids at school see it.
But what about the things they don't see? Maybe her life isn't so perfect after all... but the only thing she can do is pretend. It's what she's been doing all along, and she can keep doing it. Pretending is how she gets by, pretending everything's okay and hoping one day she'll wake up and it will be.

Alex is not shy, she's simply following her rules to hide in the background of life in general. Or at least she's doing her best to be 'at the fardest end of the social spectrum' Strictly reserved to her own things that vary from music to... pretty much anything related to that, Alex lives the normal life of a highschool student who doesn't wish to engage in deep conversations with no one. Not even her family even though ocassionaly she has to. One day around the middle of the school year, she coicidentially (yeah right.
