(I got the idea of this book from tumbler user linkedsoul 's short story "the five times you refuse to give the fæ your name and the one time you do" which is a pilot for the novel they are working on called "Stories of Qelt" I recommend looking at the pilot and reading the snippets they posted of the novel, they also have other works I recommend reading.

Fæ's are never something to mess with, you should always keep your guard up around them for they can twist your words in just the right way to benefit them.

This is what happens when a young girl got caught talking to the Fæ called Marx. They accused her of witchcraft, humans but just as dangerous as the Fæ who granted them power, they exiled her, then blamed her when a drought hit the villager well all except for her.

Their solution for the drought? A sacrifice to the Fæ who they thought caused it in hopes of pleasing them. Who to pick for the sacrifice is the biggest question - oh why not the one person who is under Áed's protection, and while they're at it why not just burn her house down to, destroying the years of research and many different - valuable - books she has gathered through the years?
