(I started this story before they introduced the character Jack to the show so that's why he is never mentioned. This is not set in any specific season or year.)
If running into a Winchester once wasn't bad enough, running into one twice definitely is. When the boys work on a hunt in Bex's town, they bump into her, 5 years after she first met Sam. She thought that night was the last she would ever see of a Winchester but that was the farthest thing from the truth.

During a dangerous case with Sam and Dean something goes wrong and Castiel goes missing, this isn't like the other times Cas has disappeared, this is different, it's strange even for Cas. With Castiel gone Dean doesn't eat or sleep he just drinks and prays wondering if Cas can hear him. Day and night he checks the newspapers and police reports from every city, and county in the US for any sign of the trench coat angel. With no leads things become even more bleaker.
