The book picks up just where the show ends and portrays the character's lives after fighting off Jonathan, Lilith and Valentine. Clary begins to regain her memory and Jace is sure that their love has not and will never die. You will see Malec enjoying the married life and Sizzy's relationship finally blossom. Clace finally have time to focus on their relationship with one addition. A rune drawn directly by the angel, attaching them for life. The soul-mate rune. As the first ever people to have this rune, they learn to use it to grow stronger together and fulfil their duty as shadowhunters.
Whilst expanding the institute, they stumble across a wall related to the mortal instruments. It holds great power and watch how they try to open it...
