Her Second Chance (Warriors Human Short Stories piece)

Previously named "Boring Office Work" in my Warriors Human Short stories book.
"Her Second Chance" is about Cynthia (Cinderheart) after having been mistreated from when she was teenager up to just a few years ago. She's okay with her life, happy with her career, avoiding virtually every person of the opposite gender, and finding herself jolting awake at night from nightmares plaguing her into silent exhaustion. To be honest she's actually falling apart but refuses to tell anyone, taking her own burden and shouldering it every day until her best friend's younger brother enters the picture.
Who is he? And why won't he leave her alone? All she wanted was a quiet life with her son and keeping one step ahead of organized crime. Or did she? She could've sworn that's all she wanted until her broke through her walls and she found herself drawn toward him without her permission.
