During the IVF therapy , the embryo is left in the lab dish using the sperms for fertilization. After the confirmation of fertilization, the embryos are placed in a growth fluid and kept for observation. The physicians mark the best and exceptionally qualified embryo for transfer. Largely the physicians choose to perform genetic testing to discover chromosomal abnormalities and inheritable diseases . The embryo is then cultured up to a period of 6 days in the lab and is then ready for the transfer.
