In order to do this she must find a strength within her she does not yet know as being married to the greatest King in England comes with many occupational and personal challenges. Along with suffering from the aftermath of being ambushed by bandits on their way to Camelot, Guinevere quickly learns that there is little room for weakness and fear in Camelot's court. Vowing to never be caught in another similar position, she enlists the help of the only other person aside from Arthur that she trusts - Lancelot. Guinevere is determined to be a fearless, loyal and confident Queen, able to balance her obligations to Camelot as well as her life with Arthur. But sometimes determination is not enough when both the heart and circumstance work against her. (First draft) _____________________________________________________________________________ *This is a fictional tale, based loosely on 'fact' from legends and existing stories. My aim was to write from the perspective of Guinevere, to add some depth to the tales. I have embellished quite a lot, so quests and battles may not be in the correct order and characters may be construed a little differently, but I hope to capture the turmoil and doomed relationships in my story. I wanted to explore the possible reality of the legend from an empathic point of view, to explore the emotions and difficulties that my protagonist may have actually felt in her position.
