Aria was always been able to see and hear spirits. She has the power of sight. Something proclaimed useful in the world of the Reapers. Their is two types of Reapers. One's that are to reap the one's in living bodies and those who reap the one's in spirital form.
Why reap spirits you ask?
Because if your spirit is just roaming free, demons from the underworld will attack you and turn you into a demon.
So that's why the Shinigami world has Soul Reapers.
Aria only child in 100 years to have the power of sight and ear. She's able to see and hear spirits. So when the Reaper community hears this they immediately jump at the opportunity to have the girl as one of theirs.
This causes a feud between the two Shinigami's.
Aria is the fresh meat in the community and has to adjust to having these powers and having to deal with Shinigami's fighting over her as if she is a new toy.
But she's not stupid and has the abilities to detect lies and picks the right clan to be apart of...
Only question is Was it the right choice?
Since families have dark secrets.

He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted.
