[WIP] "There are many things in this world that are unknown to the common folk. In the small town of Eclipse with a population of roughly 2,000 people, the town is hidden at the base of the solstice Mountains. One boy embarks on a dark, wild journey to discover the corruption of this seemingly hidden side of his world." "His name is Sol Saint, a 16 year-old orphan. He is a tall, broad-shouldered boy standing tall with a body that can easily rival soldiers in his town's guards. He appears unkempt, he doesn't focus on his outward appearance as he wears loose comfy clothes, with shaggy black hair that hangs in front of his electric blue eyes, which are regularly hidden behind his glasses." "Sol's father taught him basic hand to hand combat until he was proficient. His mother, however, focused more heavily on Luna, his younger sister. Tragedy struck and caused their parents passed away leaving an 8 year old Sol with his 3-year-old sister. Since then, they have lived together with their grandparents, Celeste and Jeremy Saint." "Sol isn't your average teenager; he is semi-social and his only so-called friends are the people that he spars with at the training grounds. Most of the other teens look up to him because he has experience from sparring. Some people test him to try and get him angry, and most fail. The few that have, didn't enjoy their stay in the town clinic so they quit agitating him." "The descent was started by a warning ignored. One action of a jealous and egotistical boy will put Sol on a brutal path to learn the truth about the true colors of the world. The people who do will lose much and gain little, so the change in this boy isn't the first, but definitely the most interesting of them all. To me at least. "Who am I?" you wonder. You will have to find that out later." "Sol's story starts here." Warning from author: will have some dark subject matter such as descriptive violence, abuse, and depression.

This story is based on historical facts and author's imagination. Do not mistake the facts as reality. Enjoy! Genre & Tone: Dark, emotional, and introspective but with glimpses of hope. It leans toward a slow-burning coming-of-age story with fantasy/adventure elements. The kid's journey has weight-he's not just adventuring, he's surviving, learning, and finding identity. The tone balances tension, subtle sadness, and moments of warmth. Theme: Identity, survival, and legacy. It's about someone growing up without a clear place in the world ("No Nation"), navigating trauma, and slowly discovering purpose. At its core, it's a story of resilience and self-discovery. Plot Style: Episodic, with character-focused arcs. The story builds gradually-the ending scene where he tells a story to younger kids and finally reveals his name as Isaac is symbolic. It's about him claiming his own identity and leaving a mark on others, showing how he's grown from an anonymous, possibly lonely child into someone who inspires or connects with others. Characterization: Isaac is complex-he has a vulnerable, "lost" side, but also a curious, clever, and ultimately bright/bubbly side that occasionally peeks through. His personality develops through interactions with the world, and the story slowly reveals his internal growth. Atmosphere: Think bittersweet and mysterious, sometimes tense or lonely, with soft moments of light and warmth to contrast the darkness. The ending is cathartic-a subtle but satisfying reveal of who he truly is.
