Tessa Rowling's mom, sister, and whole town thinks she killed her father. Tessa has had the same dream for a year and still can't make out the bear looking creature that she thinks killed her father. Tessa's sister convinced the whole town that she killed her father, just because she was at the crime scene and saw Tessa standing over his dead body. The real problem is that no one will hear Tessa out.
