I don't remember much from that last night; I mean yes, I remember the dark sky as the clock hit twelve midnight on the dot. I remember the faint yet very existent gleam of the white specks decorating the black blanket covering the earth, but I don't remember anything else other than her.     
I should have wished on a star, right?
I should have wished for a different ending.
We all have moments in life where we want to travel back in time, or when we think that wishing upon a shooting star would help us with whatever chaos is going on in our existence. 
If you were thinking this book was going to be a cliché, sappy, hospital-romance love story where the girl dies in the end, then you're wrong. Not about the hospital-romance thing, because that's true, but about the girl.
She doesn't die in the end.
