Revision of My Misconceptions, a story written back in 2015 where DC and Marvel universes exist in one, but only by mention in character. As a forgotten foster child, Emma never exactly believed in miracles or magic of any kind, or even the proclaimed superheroes everyone loved. That all changed the fateful night when she was mugged and attacked. At that point in her life, she had come to the conclusion that she wouldn't amount to much, and as she lied half-conscious on the ground, she couldn't help but think that she deserved this kind of death. She didn't want it, but it seemed appropriate to someone with nothing to call her own. Then in swoops in her own personal superman, saving her and taking her back to his place where she wakes up the next day. She is then surprised to find that everything she thought was fake before, was suddenly coming to life before her eyes. And what's even more shocking is, she's been in the middle of it her whole life.

Some people could read minds; others could control fire. But out of all of the amazing powers in the world, Emily Houston got the lamest: changing percentages. Sure, it was useful if her phone died, but that was pretty much all. That is, until a small alliance comes to her and decides to 'recruit' her to join "The People with Useless Power." They really kidnap her. Mega oof. There she meets an insane woman, Mara, who's the owner and the leader of the organization- who has no regard for anyone and acts painfully formal to friends and family. She also meets Emma, a pink-haired menace to society and notorious player who should always be walking in front of an explosion wearing sunglasses and flipping everyone off. Will she escape and reunite with her family? Will Mara brutally murder her? Will Emily find love on the way? How many sociopaths are in this story? ... Read and find out.
