This story takes place after the whole (Clary gets deruned and Magnus and Alec's wedding ordeal from the TV show) everything that happened in the shadow world isn't going to happen just yet.  8 years later, we are greeted by a new girl (or I should say woman) her name is Angelica Jane Mayfield but she goes by Ella.  She lives with her adoptive mothers grandparents, who took her in when she was 15 after loosing her adoptive mom in a car crash.  Her life has always been normal to her but one night, she thought their was fighting going on down an alleyway, she decided to go and figure out what's wrong by not realizing that her life will completely change forever.
