Eanruig "Ernie" Hawker, Jr. has a secret. A skeleton in the closet to end all skeletons. It catches up with him and throws him a curve ball the size of a rogue planet. He ejects from his crippled ship and lands only to be thrown into the deepest darkest pit in all the universe for deserters and idealistic heroes.

Charged with desertion, his mind will be scrambled like the rest. But the process goes awry when something long since forgotten is awakened. A simple tool created a millennium ago by his ancestors that linked all, but time, ego and fear has crippled it. Ernie's skeleton has re-activated it and in doing so has found the way to escape his prison.

He gathers up the forgotten heroes and creates an escape plan for himself and the rag tag group of warriors, magi, weaver, priestesses, gun heads and even a banished empress.

The portal started to go out of control causing one of them to exploded while the other one started to suck in everything around it. As one of the individuals was sucked through the portal, his body was reverted to that of a newborn child with all of his memories intact. After exiting the portal and landing safely in a thick forest, he saw that he was in the dead of night. Scared and confusion filled him as he had no idea where he was but what came the next morning utterly shocked him. After falling asleep upon arriving, he woke up and found himself in an odd house that he didn't recognize. As he tried to figure out where he is, the door opened as who entered was a woman with long dark hair......and a set or rather long bunny ears. Not only this, there were two other small infants sleeping next to him with one of them clinging to him. What is this world? Who are these people and what are they? The whole operation snowballed and everything went according to plan. Unlike in other stories, there is no hope and the only way to survive is though the CPO (citizen protection organization), created by Benjamin Franklin. It's a system of secret subway tunnels, used to evacuate civilians to safely. Out story begins on July 2, 2076 when the first bomb drops. Madalyn Grace and her friends are caught in this apocalypse and must find away to leave.
