A cautious daydreamer who yearns for adventure. Eli Dawnwood is a worry-free myce in the peaceful village of Cloverfield. After losing his sister due to his inaction, he strives to protect his people and vows to himself to never falter when others are in danger.
Eli's peaceful life comes to an abrupt halt when a dark force not seen since the fall of mankind reemerges to threaten his home and all he knows. After proving his skills against Alistar the Lynx, resurrected by the vengeful wizard controlling the dark force, along with a natural resistance to the darkness, he was chosen for a quest. Whether by fate or pure coincidence, his destiny is venture forth and bring an end to the darkness plaguing the land.
With his childhood friend, Stephanie, the easy-going Pete, the mysterious Shroud, and the greatest knight in the realm, Chris, Eli and his new companions are the Heroes of Legend; the Oregonians. The Oregonians travel the realm facing off against reanimated beasts and rooted monsters pursuing the destruction of the Sages and the seven villages they inhabit. The small and peaceful Cloverfield, the mushroom-infested Mushroon, the rose-speckled Roseshire, the laid-back yet hard-working Marriville, the capital of freedom and justice Treedom, the mysterious and secret hoarding Bayleaf, and the beautifully industrious Silver Falls.
Together, Eli and his friends will endure grueling hardships in the face of the ever-growing darkness. As the torn and vengeful wizard, Umbra, grows in power and influence, the Oregonians learn of true loss and sorrow but never losing sight of the light and the powerful bonds of friendship they have in each other.
