Irene Duncan, otherwise known as Rina or as Rain for her Golden Age name, has been in the Golden Age her entire life. She never knew her parents, but always had a group of friends she considered family. Rina is 22 and about to embark on a journey of becoming a full-fledged member of the Golden Age while being stuck in a romance. Can she become an elite member like her friends? Can she find the secrets of her past? Can she grow her relationship?

▶ Kiana: For the past handful of years, hiding behind anonymous words suited me just fine. I could twist them, expressing myself, and know that people found something of themselves when they were sung. But anonymity is no longer possible. As much as I want to, I can't keep my head buried in the sand and ignore everything around me. Ignore the past and its importance. I'm stepping out of the shadows, in part because I don't have a choice. The other part, though... Because I want to take the plunge and see what's on the other side. Most of all, find my heart again and get things right this time around. However, it's soon apparent that not everyone is in agreement with this new development. I guess I'll see just how many potholes I'll find during this journey. ▶ Duncan: Most people think I have everything I want. Most people also don't know the first thing about me, just what's out there, what I allow them to know. They don't know that fame and money means nothing without the family I've made.
