Maven Jones Callahvore has been burnt by life before. His mother died when he was 3, his father spends his days wasting away at his easel, and the kids at school seem physically repelled by Maven's odd behavior.

But Maven Jones Callahvore has never been burnt before. Ever. Not in the fire that killed his mother. Not in the explosion that destroyed his cafeteria.
