Code Silverlight. They are known for being born and raised in this system. The code consists of only 12 people, 1 for each category of "volunteer" work.

Silverlight members were born in their groups, originally being 60 participants. They let go of most of them, favoring those who were the best.

Each year most of the "volunteers" don't make it. About 45% move to the next rank. To continue our survival each 8th grade class must forfeit 1 girl and 1 guy to the categories. 

"Whose to say you'll escape and even if you do. What'll you do? You'd be in 8th grade, and you've never known anything other than this."
