As the world improves in technological tiers, a monopoly was created to force people into games. As this monopoly was growing, it announced that 10 million people around the world will be forced into their computers and will be in this world called "The Game". Three people living together; Tom, Jace, and Alexis, were put into The Game, faced horrible challenges, gained alliances, and nearly got their limbs cut off. If a player dies, they will have to restart, and go back to Level 1. This game is not just a game, it is a death trap. Nobody can escape THE GAME.

They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species.
