The story of Sterling and Kaylee, rich teenagers who met by chance and due to their similarities fell in love. After a tragic mass murder in which their parents die, the two are framed in ways that seem impossible. This forces them to run from the law in order to figure out what is going. As they unearth clues as to who did it, they discover that the recent breakthrough their scientist parents had made in astrobiology played a bigger role in the massacre than they had expected. They struggle to find out more about the top secret breakrough and why they were framed. This takes them through a journey of pain, deception and survival all with the hope that they will clear their names and no longer live as outcasts.
