Zubaida is a servant who was sent from a small town to work for a wealthy man and his wife only known as Alhaji and Hajiya. She has suffered many abuses in the house, but the last straw is when Alhaji kills her only friend and confidant, Rahma for trying to run away. Zubaida then plots her revenge as we see the extent she will go to avenge her best friend's death. However, along the way, she becomes friends with one of Alhaji's daughters. Will Rahma ever get her revenge or will Zubaida's friendship help spare Alhaji and Hajiya?
