Hey there. First try at this whole writing thing. Please go easy on me. Trying to hold true to the gender interpretation of Frisk in Undertale, so they/them pronouns for Shifty. Interpret them as you see fit. Ships may be included. You have been warned. No lemon though. So there is that. Will use third person limited. Trying to emulate something similar to Rick Riordan's style.

It was just a normal Saturday. (Y/N) was playing Undertale for the millionth time. She was obsessed. (Y/N) had played all of the routes. True Pacifist, No Mercy/Genocide, Neutral. She experimented with killing certain characters doing different things. Then, as (Y/N) started a new game, she felt a falling sensation, as if she just fell out of her chair. She blacked out soon after. When she woke up, she was lying on a bed of golden flowers. She knew this place. (Y/N) was in the game. Frisk has freed all the monsters from the underground; this story takes place a few years later. By this time Frisk is living with Sans and Papyrus. Sans doesn't really do much on the surface other than sleep, keep an eye socket on Frisk and occasionally visit Alphys...so it seems.
