Near Extinction

Humanity always believed the end of the world would come through war, disease, or mankind's own mistakes. Instead, it came from the stars. A colossal celestial body descended from the direction of Venus, colliding with Antarctica in an impact that reshaped the planet. The oceans receded, the earth trembled, and reality itself fractured as countless Gates opened across the world, unleashing monsters beyond imagination.

As civilization crumbled, an unknown energy spread across the globe. Most died. A fortunate twenty percent awakened extraordinary powers, becoming humanity's last line of defense against the horrors that now roamed the Earth. They would come to be known as Hunters.
