In the town of Rosewood, the local residents are shocked by popular high school student
Mike Montgomery disappearance. A year later, Mike's corpse was found in the backyard of his family's old house. It granted the town an opportunity for closure, mainly with Mike's circle of closest friends, Toby Cavanaugh, Caleb Rivers . After attending his funeral for what they expected to be the final nails in the coffin, they then receive the first hostile text from the anonymous sender who shocks the boys with their rather disturbing alias.
