Being the daughter of a crime boss is never simple, there are rules. It is a risk to be anywhere without a weapon and showing any form of weakness is not allowed. However, she was not born to be the person she is. Everything changed in just one afternoon.

Ariel Isadora had a soul clouded with hatred towards those who left her to die.

She was saved and taken in, and soon enough, she became a different person under the care of the infamous Andrew Spencer. Three years later, she was made into someone who attracted danger and fear. She promised revenge to those who willingly gave her life away. She became someone whose heart was made of ice, one no ordinary fire can burn.

She became Leira A'rodasi.

"If you wish to live, weakness is not an option," said her savior.

But love was a weakness, and it was inevitable.

"Careful, one wrong word and you'll find a bullet buried deep in your heart." I told him, watching emotionlessly as his eyes clouds with fear.

"You're a spoiled, ungrateful brat." Asher snarled, turning around so suddenly that I nearly fell from the sheer momentum. His blue eyes blazed with an icy fire as they narrowed into slits. "Why are you so ignorant?" He took a large step towards me as his words rocketed around the room. I bit my trembling lip with all the strength in the world. No freaking way. Absolutely not. I refused to cry in front of him. "Can't you see that I care?" His tone so dangerously quiet, so very low. I pushed myself back further into the stony wall, hoping it would swallow me whole. "Is that not enough?" His eyes dropped to my lips, flickering back up as quickly as they had fallen. All I could see was him, all I could feel was him. He had captured every single one of my senses. And I hated it. He made me feel things that I sure as heck didn't deserve to feel. "To hell with the rest of them." He growled, "you're mine." ------- Ariella Gates is the daughter of one of the richest men in the world. As someone who is set to inherit billions, she's never had to lift a finger. Unfortunately, no one expected her 'beloved' daddy to die so soon. Thrown into a world of poverty, Asher Kent, a pessimistic yet handsome cleaner, reluctantly takes her under his wing. They say that opposites attract. Let's test that fictitious, romantical theory out. ----------------------- A bucketload of heart fluttering romance, a dash of tragedy and a hint of danger. On the brink of self-destruction, Leila struggles to stay afloat with little to no time before she's devoured by her conniving mind. In an effort to save herself once and for all, Leila stands against her strongest obstacle: herself. *** "It was only ever us!" They screamed "When everyone looked the other way; when they turned a blind eye on your tears-on your blood-I was there! I saved us! I saved you!" "No, that's not...stop talking," I pleaded, every word adding more pressure around my head. Draven's breath, suddenly inches away from my face, burns the surface of my skin. "Stop lying to yourself and accept reality for once. You and I both know you'd be dead without me. You should be thanking me. I helped you more than anyone else has." I snapped my eyes to theirs-furious yet overflowing with disappointment. "You'd be dead without me," I seethed through clenched teeth and furrowed eyebrows. "That's the only reason you ever "helped" me stay alive." *** This story contains sensitive and triggering mental health material.
