Andromeda never asked for this. She never asked for her father to leave, she never asked for everyone to hate her, she never asked to leave her small little world and be forced out into something new and frightening. She didn't ask to be born into this sick and twisted world, and she definitely didn't ask to die for it. So what was she doing? Travelling the Wastelands? Fighting creatures she'd never even heard of before? Running from people who wanted her dead? Meeting just about the strangest people you could ever meet and somehow, incredibly, making more friends than she had ever thought possible. All in search of one man? A man who had left her for dead back in Vault 101? Was she really so stupid?

The answer was yes, yes she was. Because that man was her father and the only family she had. And despite all that had happened, she loved him. So yes, she was stupid and crazy, but she was stuck out here anyway so she may as well do something.

.....

I, of course, do not own Fallout 3 in any way, shape or form. This is purely a not for profit fan work.

Bruised, Broken... Chosen by nfh_hello
4 parts Ongoing
Her father thought he could cheat me. Borrow what wasn't his, disappear, and leave nothing but a trail of debt in his wake. Men like him never learn-there's always a cost, always someone left to bleed for their mistakes. He thought it would be him. Instead, it's her. His daughter. At first, she was nothing but a message. A way to make him suffer, even if he never came back to see it. I broke her down the way I break everything-piece by piece, scream by scream. I wanted her fear, her pain, the ruin in her eyes every time I came close. She hated me, and I fed on it. That's all I believed in: control, power, the reminder that I own what others abandon. But somewhere between her sobs and her defiance, she changed the rules. She fought me, and I should have killed her for it. Instead, I wanted more. She cried, and instead of silencing her, I listened. She looked at me, even in terror, and for the first time in my life I couldn't look away. I don't believe in love. I never have. Love is weakness, a lie people tell themselves before the knife comes out. But she... she's different. She's sharp where she should be soft. Brave when she should be broken. She makes me hunger in ways that no amount of blood or vengeance ever could. I meant to ruin her. To make her pay for the sins of her father. Now I want to claim her as mine. Not because of love-no, I don't use that word. I don't trust it. But because she drags something out of me I thought was dead. Something dangerous. She wasn't supposed to matter. But she does. And if I have to chain her, break her, and rebuild her until she finally sees me the way I see her, then so be it. She'll be my wife. My possession. My salvation. Even if I have to destroy her first.

"Does it hurt to die?" she whispered to me. I thought long and hard about my response. Finally, when the correct words formed in my mouth, I said: "Yeah, but it hurts more to keep living." Welcome to my world. ~~~~~ It was a perfect life. A big, beautiful house in the richer part of town. Two loving, happy parents. A dog that was potty trained and seemed to know when to be so cute and cuddly. A school filled with only the smartest students and most professional teachers. Friends who would never do any harm to anyone. Money coming easily and the weather always staying nice. It was the perfect life. Anything anyone could have wanted. Avaley Camber lived this perfect life. Lived. Thing is, when you die, you are not supposed to come back to life. But the Creator has something special in mind for Avaley Camber. Something far more greater than staying dead forever. It's a second chance. Avaley didn't necessarily want to come back from the dead, but if it's better than being in a coffin all her life it's something she says yes to. What she doesn't know, however, is the other parts that come with coming back to life. And Avaley realizes that she's going to need her whole life to get used to the new parts. As Avaley starts to relive her life again, she's faced with new challenges and new changes in her life. Her life that seemed so perfect has its own flaws. New things keep popping up in front of Avaley, and it's up to her to work her way through them. With the help of her new powers, that is.
