Set in the future, after war has demolished entire continents and the survivors flock to the Americas. People no longer wage wars or fight about frivolous things, like race and nationality. As far as they are concerned, there is one race, the human race.
Power is spread to eighty governing cities that ration food and goods. All seems well until the Trials came along. Children dying for entertainment is never a joyous occasion. When Eliza makes it into one of the boarding school in the nearest governing city she discovers evidence that there is an alternative motive behind the Trials. She quickly finds herself unlocking secrets that could end everything she knows and loves.
The Sequel from Eliza's Kids' point of view is already being written so don't worry chapter 55 is not the end.

In Symmetria, a city obsessed with looking perfect while everything underneath is falling apart, the cracks are getting harder to ignore. The leaders? They're more focused on keeping their polished image intact than actually running the place. But chaos is brewing, and guess who's making a comeback? Ravi, the power-hungry dictator with a tighter grip on the city than ever. And trust me, things are about to get messy. Enter Sunaina, a sharp, determined force of nature, and her loyal (but definitely not boring) friends Jenna and Marcus. They're caught in the middle of all this chaos, trying to save Symmetria from Ravi's iron fist, while dealing with the fact that trust is about as rare as a flaw in this so-called perfect city. Betrayal? Oh, it's lurking in every corner, and hidden agendas? They're sprouting like weeds in a manicured garden. The trio needs to figure out who's on their side-and fast-because the clock is ticking. In this city, loyalty is more fickle than the weather, and ambition? Well, that'll lead you straight into disaster if you're not careful. With the cracks in Symmetria's perfect facade getting deeper by the day, the leaders will have to face not just Ravi but also the enemies within their own ranks. As everything unravels, one question remains: How far are they willing to go to protect their "perfect" city? And who can they actually trust when every choice could pull them deeper into chaos-or worse? Buckle up for a wild ride. Power, ambition, and loyalty are about to collide in ways no one saw coming. Because in Symmetria, nothing's as perfect as it seems, and every move could be their last.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

I couldn't breathe. I couldn't see. An intense bubbling pressure filled my mind and a burning pain filled my body like lava. Was I moving? Fighting? I couldn't even tell. The pain is unbearable, and I have never felt so detached from my mind ever before. Is this death? All at once the fiery burning pain that filled my veins turned to ice, and a new pain formed, sending my body into a shock. I could feel my teeth chattering like a woodpecker on wood, and hear it slightly also; Why can I shiver but not scream? My thoughts didn't carry far, as I felt my body come slightly back into my control, the pain still under my skin and ears ringing. I started thrashing and yelling due to my new found control of my body. My voice sounded foreign to my ears, and came out more a gargle than a yell, something was in my mouth. I felt hands against my arms, restraining me and voices speaking quickly and hushed. A sharp pain in my neck brought me darkness and the pain finally stopped. Number Three is thrown into a confusing trial of tests regarding her new found abilities and developments, although she is left with no memory of what was before. All she knows is that her existence is for Project Interitus, or that's at least what the doctors who run the facility say. Luckily for her she isn't alone in these new found discoveries, three colleagues join her, One, Four, and Seven. All of them are wary and unsure of the facility in which they stay, nor trusting of the people who run the trials, as they continue to dismiss and silence any questions or thoughts they have regarding how they came to be or what they're there for. Memories resurface, and curiosity grows stronger as this group of test subjects become closer and more intuitive, making it more of a challenge for them to be controlled without rebellion. What is the purpose of her abilities? Will Three ever regain her memories of the past or did she never have one to begin with? Lets just hope she survives.

It was 2050, the year of the misery. The world War 3 happened, a nuclear war which ended up making the earth inhabited. But luckily there were survivors. There was an organization called 'Octagon Veranda' situated on a lonely Island which was covered by a special Nano cover which was supposed to last 300 years and it's a shield against radiation, bioweapons and chemical attacks. This organization of scientists was created to survive the World War, which could've wiped out humans from Earth. The communication system within the island was advanced and had no connection with outside to prevent AI attacks. It was protected in each possible way which is why humanity still lasts. It is 2201 now. Our little island is the only place humanity can survive on the earth but sadly it's a small island. The population is rising. So now we have a lot more problems to survive than radiation. There are two parts of the island. Inside and outside. Simply heaven and hell on the same island. If you can get inside you are more than lucky. If you get to live outside, you better pray for death. Inside the island is the place where the Octagon Veranda, the main buildings and the city are situated. Octagon Veranda, we work on eight sectors that help humanity to survive. Each sector has a chancellor, and together that's the Octagon council. Edward Sallow - Nano technology sector Kane Johnson - Chemical sector Kirstein Evens - Mechanicals and communication sector. Jessy Terco - Environmental science, Biology and human studies sector Elsa Blake -Medical sector. Bell Bostic - Security, exploration and social work sector Penny Browns - Hydrology and Farming Sector Jupiter Terco -Astro sector

[Editors' Choice 2020] In a near-future, post-apocalyptic world, a lone girl must choose between becoming the next-in-line to head a corrupt government or siding with those who wish to see the world burn. Order, suppression and lies, or chaos, truth and freedom? Whatever is chosen, one thing is clear: both sides bleed. ***** Every year, the Federated United Americas tasks its elite soldiers to participate in a nation-wide Cull. Hundreds of children are taken from homes and put into one of three Facilities. While most of them will be offered comfortable lives in the forms of low-ranking government jobs and militia commandos, a few will be groomed to be the successors for the highest office the FUA has to offer: The Council. Beckett Blake is known in the Facility as Ten, and she alongside six others branded 'Liars', have spent years enduring confinement and rigorous testing in order to secure a future as head of the FUA. When a terrorist group breaks into the Facility and kidnaps Ten and the others, she's forced to re-examine her future plans. Required to become a drug runner in the mega-city known as Neon Brights, Ten must decide if the future she'd been promised since childhood is worth the lies it's built upon. Will Ten choose the future that's been decided for her, or will she carve out one all her own, even if that path leads to her destruction? Cover by @eosophobias
